Ballybunion - Cogitation

Connor Pass, 1400 feet high
The biggest climb we would try
Nervous start in the wet
We made it no sweat
The other side was sunny and dry

We barrelled along to Ardfert
For Ballyheigue the coast we did skirt
A tea that was cordial
By Casement’s memorial
But why does my backside still hurt?

To Ballybunion we arrived with a sprint on
It’s a place that reminds me of Frinton
Cheap and tawdry feel
But a good Chinese meal
